This has been on my mind for awhile. I see all of these amazing girls on social media killing it. The one thing I have found is that they all have one thing in common is that they work on themselves each and everyday, think personal development! They sit down with their morning coffee and journal, reflect, write down goals, and work towards becoming their best self. 

This year has been anything but a walk in the park lol! So I sat down and ordered a few personal development books to help me work towards my own best self! I can say with 100% confidence that since adding these personal development tools into my morning and evening routines that I have felt better about myself and future. I’m sleeping better and I am not AS stressed about the unknown (anyone else a type 1 enneagram who needs a plan in life or they feel like they’ll go crazy?!). 

Here is what I do:

Mornings// I start with my 5 minute journal. I sit down in bed or at my desk and write down what I am grateful for today, things I hope will happen, and a daily affirmation. Next, I open my 100 days to brave book and read the page for the day. Then I reflect on the task given – some days it is as easy as telling someone what I’ve read or to journal about the topic. Either way, it gets me thinking about God and how I CAN be my bravest self. 

Evenings// I again sit down in bed with my 5 minute journal and write down all the good things that happened that day and something I wish could have gone differently. Some days I recall a specific event/ conversation that I wish would have gone different. While some days I simply write that it was a GOOD day and I wouldn’t change a thing!

I just recently started adding in the Feel your best wellness workbook to my routine. This workbook is full of advice, encouragement, and things to do that’ll help you work towards your best self and have fun at the same time! I am truly enjoying this one because it really makes me think about my goals in life, what makes me happy, and how to find balance in my life.
